Duravana Hybrid Resilient Flooring | What is Dual-Defense Waterproof?
Duravana flooring is a hybrid resilient product that’s waterproof and extremely scratch-resistant and wear-resistant.
Duravana Flooring: The Future of Hard Surface Flooring
The future of flooring has arrived, and you’ll find it exclusively here at LL Flooring. Our Duravana hybrid resilient flooring uses state-of-the-art technology to give you the ultimate in waterproof performance, along with dent and scratch resistance in a flooring product. On top of all that, you’ll be impressed by the ultra-realistic wood-look designs and textures that can complement any décor.
What is Duravana Flooring?
By now you may be asking, is Duravana laminate or vinyl? The beauty of this flooring is that it combines the best features of both to create a new category—hybrid resilient. It starts with a premium scratch- and wear-resistant top layer. Under that lies the authentic wood design that replicates the color, grain, and texture of real hardwood. Next is the resilient wood-based core that offers extreme strength. Our Duravana planks also come with an attached pad for sound dampening.
Duravana flooring is 70% wood-based and manufactured using wood from responsibly managed forests, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. It’s also 100% polyvinyl chloride (PVC) free and GREENGUARD certified for low chemical emissions. All of this helps to make Duravana an eco-friendly choice. Perhaps best of all, Duravana's innovative Dual Defense technology works to protect your floors from everyday accidents.
What Is Dual Defense Technology?
Duravana flooring features innovative Dual Defense Technology, which combines two factors for the ultimate in waterproof protection: waterproof planks plus a state-of-the-art locking mechanism. When installed correctly, this locking system will help prevent liquids from seeping through the flooring's seams and causing damage, mold, or mildew to your subfloor. If you have a busy household with messy kids and pets—this is the perfect floor for you.
Where Can I Install Duravana?
You can install Duravana hybrid resilient flooring on any level and in any room inside your home. Look to Duravana for a premium solution for getting the look of hardwood in higher moisture areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and mudrooms. Extreme wear resistance means that Duravana can also stand up to the daily rigors of an active home. Use it throughout your home to ground your interior design, or just for the rooms that take the most traffic, such as playrooms, home fitness studios, or pet-friendly areas.
Duravana hybrid flooring is also a great choice for bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices. The attached pad provides the benefit of muffling sound transfers, and you can also choose to add a separate underlayment for enhanced noise-reduction benefits.
But Will Duravana Go With My Décor?
You’ll find colors, grain patterns, and textures to go with a wide variety of décors. These beautiful hardwood looks can bring rustic coziness, traditional elegance, or a fresh contemporary feel to a space. And to ensure a more authentic look, our Duravana styles feature up to 22 different unique patterns before repeating.
Choose from a selection of rich browns, vibrant blondes, weathered grays, and other tones such as creamy beige. If you’re the trend-forward type, go with extra-wide planks for a streamlined feel that really opens up a space.
You can bring your entire décor together with a variety of coordinating accessories such as matching baseboards, quarter-round trim pieces, and vent grills. We also offer stair treads, risers, and noses to bring your design vision together. At LL Flooring we provide the transition moldings you’ll need for areas such as doorways and for transitioning to other flooring materials or heights.
Can I Install Duravana Flooring Myself?
Even novice DIYers can take on their own flooring project. Click-together installation requires only minimal tools and materials. And, you can find detailed step-by-step instructions in the warranty, installation, and care guide associated with your chosen product. You can also find handy tips on the LL Flooring YouTube Channel.
One of the keys to a successful installation is a subfloor that’s clean, flat, and dry. Duravana can also float over well-bonded and secured tile, vinyl, and even hardwood flooring that has a wood subfloor underneath. A flat surface is crucial to prevent gaps and locking mechanism failure.
We offer an extensive selection of tools and materials to help you to achieve your flooring project, including complete click floor installation kits.
How Do I Clean Duravana Floors?
Because Duravana is waterproof, you’ll be able to wet mop as needed without concern. You can also steam mop on a low setting. For daily maintenance, sweep your floor as needed or use a vacuum with a felt brush-type head (as opposed to hard bristles or beater bars). Avoid cleaning agents with wax, oil, or polish, and don't use steel wool or scouring pads.
For a simple solution to your floor care, choose our specially formulated Bellawood Floor Cleaner or one of our floor care kits to help you maintain the beauty of your Duravana floors.
